THANK YOU BYE was created from the need to document the experiences of Clementine over the past five years. While it appears to unveil a denunciatory veil, it essentially serves as a personal record.
The intention behind these hundreds of photographs is to capture the bizarre, chaotic, and lesser-known aspects of the modeling world. Presented as an unedited souvenir album of time spent in fashion, the result is THANK YOU BYE, named for the phrase commonly used by casting directors as models finish their walks.
The book reflects on moments of sadness, anxiety, discomfort, and questioning, but also celebrates shared laughter, journeys, camaraderie, and mutual support.
Spanning five years, the author describes a struggle to maintain self-identity after being thrust into a fast-paced environment at the age of 18, a world that felt alien.
The author expresses a heartfelt thanks to all the models who 'pose' in this book, who unknowingly contributed to making this project a reality.
By the time the last page is turned, it becomes clear that the author has resigned, finally able to declare a sense of happiness.
